Fall Clean-up Saturday Oct. 24
Submitted by FOSC on Mon, 10/19/2009 - 8:09pm.
Friends of Sugar Creek will host its final clean-up event of the year this Saturday, October 24. Volunteers will meet at 10 am at the Rock River Landing parking lot in Crawfordsville (see directions below). We will provide plastic gloves, trash bags, and disposal of all trash collected. We ask that all volunteers under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult. Please contact Nathan Mullendore with any questions (nathan@friendsofsugarcreek.org or 765-401-0839. The event will take place rain or shine. We'll see you then! Rock River Landing is a Crawfordsville Parks & Rec site that provides access to Sugar Creek and the Sugar Creek Trail. It is located on Rock River Ridge Rd. in Crawfordsville. To get there from the downtown area, head west on Wabash Ave. until it becomes Country Club Rd. (1.3 miles). Continue on Country Club Rd. until it makes a sharp left (1 mile). Instead of turning, continue straight at this intersection to join Rock River Ridge Rd. Take the gravel drive immediately before passing underneath the bridge. |
