FSC Benefit Concert December 18

Crawfordsville native Evan Watson will play a free concert benefiting Friends of Sugar Creek on Friday, December 18 at Wabash College.

A 2003 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and 2007 graduate of Wooster College, Watson has spent the last two years recording and playing music in New York City.

From his website: "Saturated in the blues and folk traditions of America, 24 year-old Indiana native Evan Watson writes accessible songs that flirt with pop melody lines, but always deliver a heart-felt original execution. With cited influences like the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, The Band, Buddy Guy, and Ben Harper, Evan's live performance is riddled with soul, roots, and a helluva lot of guitar solos."

Examples of his music can be found at EvanWatson.com.

The concert is free and open to the public with a suggested $5 donation to Friends of Sugar Creek. It will start at 8 pm in Salter Hall, located off Grant Street in the Fine Arts Center.
